Polymers are used in very different areas – polymer films, pipes and treads, which need to be manufactured with the extrusion technique. Mobile phone shells and car panels as well as recent elements of the microelectronics, which are produced with the spray-cast procedure.

The numerous application and operation possibilities of polymers with the spray-cast and extrusion procedure are reflected in the variety polymer processing dies.

The lecture “Werkzeuge der Kunststoffverarbeitung” gives an overview of all application fields of spray-cast and extrusion tools and indicates practical basic laying criteria of future engineers in the area of the polymer technology.
