Polymer engineers present at the jobs exposition in the Rietberger School Centre

Polymer engineering at your fingertips is presented by Dipl.-Ing. Dirk Bonefeld, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Elmar Moritzer and Felix Stabbert at the jobs exhibition held at the Rietberger grammar school Nepomucenum.

The exhibition was held for the 5th time. About 1200 pupils used the chance to get some information about on-the-job training and academic studies at the 80 booths of the exhibitors. Organiser Thomas Hönemann, teacher at the Nepomucenum, was delighted about the good feedback at this year’s jobs exhibition: “More and more pupils bring along their parents or other advisors. This lowers the inhibition threshold to get actual information at the booths and not just collect brochures. Thus, the expert advice gains a higher quality.”Alongside companies like Miele, Beckhoff, Gella, Claas or Bertelsmann, about 24 colleges and educational institutions present themselves, amongst others from Paderborn, Bielefeld, Lippstadt, Soest, Münster and Enschede. The tiny blow film machine was started by Dirk Bonefeld during the exhibition in front of amazed teenagers. “As soon as there is something moving at the booth, or making sounds, your chances of getting the pupils’ attention are pretty high. If you get them to stay for a little while, a consultation can begin.”
