This is only one of many reasons to decide in favour of a carreer in polymer processing at the University of Paderborn in the field of mechanical engineering. The information event at the KTP offered students the possibility to inform themselves about the area of study "polymer processing". In his speech Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Schöppner (polymer processing) explained the course of studies, innovative polymer products and career prospects for polymer engineers. Employees of the KTP showed the students the laboratories, while later sausages were grilled in front of the processing laboratory, like every year. David Redding is a mechanical engineering student and has brought the first semester student Falk Bockelkamp to the KTP. "During these events yyou can learn all about the chair. The KTP employees have fun together and the contact to the professors is very close. Furthermore, the practical relevance is very high, this is what makes the course of studies so attractive," says Redding. It is possible to finish the polymer processing studies with either a bachelor or a master's degree. The module polymer processing is also available for students of the industrial engineer studies.
